Have been in North Carolina for 20 years. Have lived in the Piedmont, the coast and the mountains. Enjoy the mountains the most. There I can fish the small
streams for trout and smallmouth, hike and do volunteer work on the Appalachian Trail and explore the back roads and trails of the mountains.
When there is spare time, I build wood sailing skiffs, restore bamboo fly rods, collect vintage fly tackle and dabble in Ham Radio.
Andy, I'm sorry, I just noticed this message. Please contact me using my email address kurtloup@cox.net. I can give you some approximate dimensions, but it
will fluctuate with the size and number of sections of the rod. I use 1/4" thick by about 7/8" strips and have been using a Lee Valley tool
birdsmouth router bit. Using this bit only requires milling one edge. I found that the birdsmouth works great to align the strips. I wrapped string around the
tube just like I am binding strips in a fly rod. Let me know what specific info you need. Kurt Original comment »
